Join author Mariame Kaba and illustrator bria royal for the launch of the new hardcover edition of Missing Daddy, a beautifully illustrated children's book that addresses the impact of prison on children.
From 7:30 to 8:30 pm, Mariame will facilitate a mini-workshop to address ways to discuss incarceration with children. This will be relevant for families with incarcerated loved ones, individuals who work with children of the incarcerated (such as educators, caregivers, or service providers), and a general public interested in developing better communication skills regarding incarceration.
